Long Covid Webinar: A person-centred recovery
4 November 2021 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm| Free
Our partner, National Voices, is holding a webinar on Thursday 4 November 2021 at 10:30am – 12pm exploring person-centred recovery to Long Covid. The event emerges from National Voices’ programme of work to raise awareness of the prevailing issue of Long Covid in communities at risk of exclusion, and to share and shape the organisation’s plans for a sector wide response. With almost 400,000 UK adults experiencing the prevailing symptoms of Covid-19 over a year after first contracting the virus, Long Covid continues to remain on the agenda as a pressing and pertinent issue.
Speakers include Michael MacLennan of covid:aid, Natalie Rogers of Long Covid Support and Davine Forde, a Lived Experience Associate from Manchester Health & Care Commissioning. They will engage in a panel discussion, sharing the lived experiences of those with Long Covid and shining a light on the crucial work that community-based organisations are doing to alleviate the burden on health services in response to Long Covid. Rachel Matthews, National Voices Head of Experience, and Keymn Whervin, National Voices Lived Experience Associate, will also examine the impact of implementing strategic co-production in working with lived experience leaders, uncovered through their Voices for Improvement project at National Voices.
